Maple

Maple is a general-purpose commercial computer algebra system. It was first developed in 1980 by the Symbolic Computation Group at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Since 1988, it has been developed and sold commercially by Waterloo Maple Inc. (also known as Maplesoft), a Canadian company also based in Waterloo, Ontario. Users can enter mathematics in traditional mathematical notation. Custom user interfaces can also be created. There is extensive support for numeric computations, to arbitrary precision, as well as symbolic computation and visualization. The current major version is version 14 which was released in April 2010. Table below show other version of maple and its year released.

As student of Science Mathematics, maple can be very helpful. Student can easily get answer to any of equation and question. For example question in calculus that involve differentiation. integration, plotting graph and many more. This is example of maple interface that involve question of calculus.

In maple there are two function which is text and math. Text is use to write anything in maple without been calculated. While math is use when users want to calculate something. Below is how text is used.

To calculate equation in maple, users have to know it code.Users also can use templates that is already exist in the maple. There is also maple help that can help user to use the maple. Below is the example of it interface.

In order to help user to understand better the usage of maple, there has been published book about maple. This book can really help students to understand better the usage of maple.

Below will be a link for anyone who would like to download maple software.
